Optical extras allow you to claim a benefit from your health fund on a range of glasses, prescription sunglasses and contact lenses to reduce the cost of your vision correction needs.

HOW DO I USE MY OPTICAL ‘EXTRAS’?
When you shop at OPSM, you can claim your health insurance optical extras benefit on our quality range of glasses and contact lenses. All you need to do is bring your health fund card and we’ll do the rest.
You will be able to claim your extras benefit on glasses, contact lenses and prescription sunglasses up to your annual limit. How much you pay depends on which health fund you are with, and your level of cover. Some funds have separate benefits and sub limits for different optical products. Visit your closest OPSM and we’ll help you every step of the way.
ON THE SPOT CLAIMS.
Most of the time we can claim your benefits on the spot, so all you need to pay is the difference. This means you may have low (or sometimes no) out of pocket expenses. Claiming on the spot at OPSM saves you the hassle of lodging a claim with your health fund.

HOW TO CLAIM FOR ONLINE ORDERS.
You can claim your benefits with your health fund for contact lens orders made online. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an itemised tax invoice including our provide number, item codes and costs. Simply present this tax invoice when you lodge a claim with your health fund to receive your rebate. You can shop our range of contact lenses online.
