ONESIGHT

EVERYONE DESERVES TO
SEE WHAT THEY LOVE

It’s so easy to take good eyesight for granted; but countless people in Australia, New Zealand and around the world are deprived of this basic right. OPSM believes everyone should have access to the best eye care available. The great news is you can transform the lives of many of these people by supporting our partner charity, OneSight

YOUR HELP
CAN CHANGE LIVES

By donating to OneSight, you can help provide eye tests and distribute much-needed eyewear. Just think, this simple act could help a mother discover the colour of her child's eyes, or help a child learn to read and thrive at school.

Through the energy and expertise of OPSM employees and the generosity of the public, OneSight has already given the gift of sight to over 200,000 people in Australia and New Zealand. But there are millions more who we can help, with your help.

LIVES TRANSFORMED IN AUSTRALIA

200,000 SUCCESS STORIES

OneSight runs clinics in schools, and regional and remote areas of Australia, providing essential eye care services to some 200,000 people in the past ten years. We’re there when disaster strikes too, providing free eyewear to many who suffered losses as a result of natural disasters.

INDIGENOUS EYE HEALTH PROGRAM

One in three Indigenous adults has never had an eye examination; and 94% of vision loss experienced in their communities is preventable*. OneSight has launched the OneVision program in North Queensland to help address these statistics, working towards long-term solutions and giving thousands of Australians improved vision.

WORKING WITH THE COMMUNITY

In partnership with community organisations such as the Salvation Army, Mission Australia and the Benevolent Society, OneSight gives ‘vision vouchers’ (exchangeable for eye tests and prescription eyewear) to those in our society who are finding life particularly challenging.

EMPLOYEES DIG DEEP

Staff members at OPSM stores across Australia are particularly enthusiastic about the work of OneSight. Through payroll giving and the organisation of fundraising events, they actively support the cause (and are very happy to accept donations in-store too).

GOOD NEWS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Restoring good sight to millions of people is simple. It just takes generosity and plenty of human spirit.

733 million people across the globe suffer vision loss. 563 million could have their vision restored by a simple pair of glasses^. OPSM employees in Australia and New Zealand join colleagues from across the world to run eye care clinics in developing countries. Our clinics can help up to 10,000 people over a 2 week period, which is why we need your help.
