Eye Check FAQs

  • When should you have an in-depth Eye Check?

We don’t take a ‘one size fits all’ approach to eye health. That’s because we believe everybody’s eyes are different.

However, we do recommend that you visit an optometrist every two years – no matter if you feel your eyes are in good shape. After all, there are a lot of things about your eyes you can’t see.

If you’ve had difficulties in the past around your eye health, then it would be good to see you on a more frequent basis.

  • What signs should you look out for?

It’s always good to check in and see how your eyes are doing. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms below you may have a vision-related problem.

    Do you:

    • Get headaches when reading or looking at your computer screen
    • Experience double vision
    • Confuse colours
    • Fail your vision test when renewing your driver’s license
    • Have trouble reading, even with reading glasses on
    • Trip over steps or gutters on a regular basis
    • Bump into objects only on one side
    • Experience glare in normal lighting situations
    • Find it hard to see at night

Speak to one of our friendly optometrists as soon as you can – the earlier, the better so that we can get a deeper understanding of your eyes and the way they work.
