Digital Retinal Scan

  • What is a Digital Retinal Scan?

A DRS (Digital Retinal Scan) is a photograph highlighting the current health of your retina, optic nerve and blood vessels.

Getting a DRS with your Standard Eye Test* is very helpful to you, and your optometrist, as it’s a visual comparison of the past and present state of your eyes. This scan is also useful for your optometrist in checking for any subtle changes, which could lead to early detection of diseases.

  • What does a Digital Retinal Scan help us better detect?

A DRS looks deeper into your eye health. How? It can take a photograph up to 45 degrees of your retina, which lets our optometrist see any potential sight and health-threatening diseases like:

    • Glaucoma
    • Diabetes
    • Hypertension
    • Macular Degeneration
  • When should you get a Digital Retinal Scan?

We recommend you get a DRS with your next Standard Eye Test. It’s quick, easy and pain-free.

  • Where can you go for a Digital Retinal Scan?

We have Digital Retinal Scans at all of our OPSM stores. You can arrange a scan by:
